Moving to high school in St. Louis, MO, he captured 7 Varsity Letters in 3 different sports while earning All-Conference Awards and serving as team co-captains.</p>
<p>Mac earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. In Boston, Mac worked in Safety &amp; Security, Human Resources, and retail marketing.</p>
<p>Before branching out into his own business, for four years Mac worked as a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor teaching spinning, step, cardio-kickboxing, etc. at Desert Mountain Properties, The Phoenician, The Scottsdale Fairmont Princess, and the Scottsdale/PV YMCA, among others.</p>
<p>Mac currently lives in Scottsdale, AZ where he runs his Personal Training business.<br />
When not training, Mac can be found managing his rental properties, performing legal wedding ceremonies, coaching middle school basketball, out cycling, playing hoops, tennis, or golf, enjoying yard work and Suns games, but above all, spending time with his family and friends while dreaming of the day he also starts his own Landscape Design and Interior Decorating business.</p>

<p>I have participated in 4 Half Marathons and numerous 5k &amp; 10K races, throughout the Pacific Northwest and around Scottsdale, AZ.  I have been former collegiate athlete, (Javelin Thrower for the George Fox University Track and Field Team), and have had the experiences that hard work, determination, and a specific goal can achieve.  I love to play GOLF, as well as sea kayak, rock-climb, hike, cycle, and lift.  I typically workout 5-6 days a week for 1-2 hours a day. My workouts generally include 20-40 minutes of aerobic activity, bookending about 30-60 minutes of weight training and finished with at least 10-20 minutes of stretching and myofascial release techniques.  My career is based on pushing my clients to meet their goals, so I believe that I must do the same for myself.</p>

An avid mountain biker, Mandler moved to Scottsdale in 1990, worked as a fitness instructor and enjoyed biking most of the area’s scenic and challenging trails while pursuing his MBA from Arizona State University (’93). He continued to work in the field of pharmaceuticals and later in information technology before devoting his efforts to the fitness industry full-time.</p>
<p>In 2002, he achieved his Certified Personal Trainer license from the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and began training clients in a local gym with the idea of putting together a company focused specifically on personal training. Having spent years training himself and others in various gym facilities, it was clear to him that many well-intentioned, hard-working people were simply not getting much benefit from the time they were putting in at their gyms and in some cases were injuring themselves, often due to their own lack of understanding of exercise fundamentals and poor, if any, supervision from the gym staff.</p>
<p>It was Mandler’s vision to help people achieve their fitness goals in a safe, effective and efficient manner designed to keep the workout sessions fresh and fun and the overall experience enjoyable and valuable without the drudgery inherent in so many programs and facilities.</p>

<p>Mark Norton has been studying fitness for 17 years and helping people to live fit and healthy lifestyles for more than 14. In 1996, Mark graduated with a B.A. in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado and, since then, he has been certified as a strength and conditioning specialist by the NSCA (2006). He also has certifications through ISSA (1996), ACE (1997), NCEP (2001) and NCSF (2002).</p>
<p>But his passion for health and the biomechanics of the human body started long before then. As a child, he was active in tennis, football, wrestling, weight-lifting, soccer and gymnastics. And by age 15, he had designed his dream gym. While at college he competed in tennis, and, by 1993, he became a fitness and tennis instructor. Unlike most of us, what Mark wanted to do when he grew up was exactly what he was doing.</p>
<p>In 2005, he placed 3rd at the Arizona Natural Bodybuilding Competition. Today, as a strength and conditioning specialist, Mark’s training style is a combination of his extensive knowledge of the inter-workings of the human body and his love for a variety of physical activities.</p>
<p>As a result, his style blends Olympic lifting, functional training, core training, body-building, Yoga, Pilates, dynamic flexibility, Kettle bell, assisted stretching and corrective exercise. To Mark, fitness is a way of life, and variety is an essential spice to staying motivated.</p>

<p>Scott’s training experience began at the Reikes Center for Human Performance in Menlo Park, California in 1998 when he worked as a specialist in speed training and enhancing athletic performance. That inaugural fitness job increased his knowledge about strength and conditioning, as well as specialized performance program design (increasing athletic performance).</p>
<p>From the Reikes Center, he went on to work for 24-Hour Fitness where he earned certifications in nutrition and personal training. Scott has worked at 24 Hour Fitness locations in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Scottsdale, AZ as a personal trainer and nutritionist. While working as a personal trainer for 24-Hour Fitness, Scott designed programs for fat loss and increased muscle mass. As a personal trainer, he also worked with clients who had disabilities such as physical injuries, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, emphysema, missing limbs, as well as many others.<br />
In Los Angeles, Scott also worked at VERT, a private studio for professional and Olympic athletes, specializing in high-speed isokinetic equipment that gives athletes the edge at speed training without momentum or stress on the joints.</p>
